ACCE National Secretary, Dr. Nnamdi Ekeanyanwu, wins CIMARC’s Scholarship

The African Council for Communication Education (ACCE) is happy to announce that its current National Coordinating Secretary, Dr. Nnamdi Tobechukwu Ekeanyanwu, has won the 2013-2014 edition of the Centre for International Media Analysis, Research & Consultancy (CIMARC) Scholarship for West African Researchers. The University of Bedfordshire, Luton, United Kingdom, sponsors the Scholarship.

Dr Nnamdi Ekeanyanwu will be a Short-Term Visiting Scholar at the University of Bedfordshire between October and November 2014. The Scholarship covers his international and local travels, accommodation, and subsistence throughout the duration of the scholarship period.

ACCE is happy to announce that its National Coordinator, Danjuma Gambo, has been promoted a Full Professor of Mass Communication in the Department of Mass Communication, University of Maiduguri, Bornu. His elevation takes effect from the year 2011. The National Secretary, Dr. Nnamdi Ekeanyanwu, signed the press release.

Professor Danjuma Gambo is an erudite media scholar who has served our dear Council creditably. ACCE 16th National Conference and AGM@ UNN 2014

The African Council for Communication Education (ACCE), a continental association of media scholars and practitioners in Africa and Diaspora, holds her 16th National Conference and Annual General Meeting at the Princess Alexandria Hall, University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Enugu State, Nigeria from the 9 to 12 of March 2014.
The Conference tagged “Nsukka 2014” focussed on the theme: “Communication, Children, and the Youths in the 21st Century”. The conference drew participants from Africa, African scholars in the Diaspora, Nigerian academics, media practitioners, industry stakeholders, and NGOs.
